Losing It 08/06/2010

UGH~ another week of no loss! No gain, but no loss either. This is not going the way I wanted it too!! So discouraged.
I downloaded the Couch to 5k Training Podcast last night and am going to start that this week. I still want to run in Bloomsday next year (May 1st, 2011) and if I am going to run 12k, I better start training.
I also think I am going to simplify my goals this week and see if it is easier to set one or two things and work to establish a habit instead of trying to do all five at once.
I am on Sparkpeople.com logging my food and workouts daily frequently, so if you are on it or want to sign up find & friend me. My username is cascade21.

I did ok, about 50%
#3. Exercise 7 Days for 15 minutes
I did 2 out of 7, not very good. :(

#4. Stick with meal plan
I did really well with this one!
#5. Reduce Soda & Refined

Considering the bag of Peanut M&M’s, MR. Goodbar and Dairy Queen Blizzard all consumed yesterday, I would say EPIC FAIL. Also, it is a wonder I didn’t gain 10 lbs this week just from that.

What a bummer! I am in the same place. I tried so hard for the past few weeks and lost almost nothing. I'm looking forward to reading about your journey. For me I just try to remember that it isn't just about the weight, but about a lifelong struggle with eating better and exercising. If I have victory over the struggle, the weight will eventually come off. But it is so hard to wait! :) Lisa~

We cut carbs – my husband could eat a whole loaf of freshly baked bread at one sitting and I could devour a Double Doozie from the Cookie Company on a daily basis (if there were no consequences!)…but no more. We cut out rice, pasta, breads, and (non sugar-free) desserts. I don't know what kind of diet plan you are using, but this really helped us. We also started exercising every other day, 20 minutes of treadmill walking, and that seemed to help. However, we have lost our self-control for walking, so that's what we're trying to work on now. Hang in there – you are not alone!!
