Losing It! 8/20/10

Whooo hoo! A 0.6 loss! That is exciting after several weeks of no change!

I had an interesting week.  I have eaten almost every meal (except breakfast) out or at someone else home this week. I also am extremely dehydrated.  Hubby and I spent all day Saturday and Sunday out in the sun and upper 90 degree heat volunteering at a food booth to raise money for Kiwanis. It was extremely busy and apparently we didn’t take good enough care of ourselves. We both were exhausted, but I got severely dehydrated.  My lips are cracked and I have cracks and sores inside my nose and sinus cavity. I am not sure how I got so dehydrated, but I have been miserable.  I am drinking so much water I am using the bathroom ever 10 to 20 minutes, applying chap stick so my very annoyingly painful lips and using a moisturizing nasal spray every hour. I have never been this dehydrated before and hope to never be again. It is completely miserable.

I did not do well on my other goal of food journaling. I did not journal one day. I downloaded an app to my cell phone that may help me keep track.  I hope so!

Here is my Exercise:
Saturday: Walked – 20 minutes
Sunday: Couch to 5k  – Week 2, Day 1
Monday: Walked – 20 minutes
Tuesday: None…. feeling sick
Wednesday: None….. feeling sick
Thursday: Couch to 5k – Week 2, Day 2
Friday (today): Walk 20 minutes

Last Weeks Weight: 240.4
Beginning Weight: 251.1
Loss to Date: 11.3 lbs.
Today’s Weight: 239.8
Weekly Loss: 0.6

#1. Food Journal – Did not journal a single meal. :(
#2. Consistently do couch to 5k training. – I did 2 of the 3, and the 3rd is scheduled for Saturday!

  • Oh no! I’ve never experienced dehydration like you described! Hope you’re doing better now.

    By the way…you should be waving goodbye to the 240s with enthusiasm. Congratulations!

    I had lost a pound this week…then had a 5 Guys burger (with some fries)…that was a bad bad idea. Darn!

    Keep up the good work and I’ll be checking in next week.
